Oscar winner raves about Magdalena Lamparska's cheesecake. "He wrote that it was the best one he's ever eaten"

Magdalena Lamparska recently published a book "Babka w formie" in which she revealed the secrets of her best cakes. Among them is a cheesecake that even delighted the famous American actor, William Hurt. The Oscar winner for his role in "Kiss of the Spider Woman" (1985) wrote to Lamparska that it was the best cheesecake in his life.

Before Magdalena Lamparska took up confectionery as a hobby, she painted, made cards, and colored canvases... The turning point came when she was at the Warsaw Theatre Academy.

- We were preparing an exam performance and one person did not come to the dress rehearsal. Professor Jan Englert was very disappointed. We wanted to apologize to him somehow and the idea came up to bake a cake. There were no volunteers, so I volunteered. I baked a sponge cake with whipped cream and fruit. It turned out that I turned out quite well. The professor was moved - recalls Magdalena Lamparska in an interview with PAP Life.

Today, she admits, baking is a way of artistic expression for her, the art of sugar sculpting.

Later, William Hurt (died 2022), an American actor known for such films as "Kiss of the Spider Woman", "Children of a Lesser God", "Wire Broadcasting" and Marvel productions , was delighted with her cake. How did Lamparska and Hurt's paths cross?

- I was a new mother at the time. I got a call from Justyna Pawlak, a producer and also my mentor , because she was the one who hired me for my first film production after drama school, the series "39 ​​and a half". She asked me to bake my famous cheesecake from the film sets, because it was her actor's birthday. A week later , William Hurt himself wrote to me to thank me, saying it was the best cheesecake he had ever eaten . It was incredibly nice and very encouraging - says the actress.

- My followers encouraged me to publish a book and share with others the recipe for lamparski cheesecake , because that's what this cheesecake is called. It's delicious, and good things should be shared - adds the author of the publication "Babka w formie".

This mysterious cake is a combination of Polish traditional cheesecake and American cheesecake . The base is made of blended oatmeal cookies with peanut butter, while the topping is made of white chocolate. On top are fresh fruits. The actress always bakes this cheesecake after filming as a thank you to the crew.
